Included are reformers, journalists, designers, performers, journalists and more. The program will include the stories of women from your local community.

Ladies of the Light: Legendary Women Lighthouse Keepers
Join Jo Ann Tufo, Historian and American History teacher for "Ladies of the Light". This program is presented in an informative power point and lively lecture format. The presentation explores the lives of some of the women who were called upon to serve as lighthouse keepers throughout the course of United States History. These individuals responded to the need, were required to step out of the traditional female roles and assumed the job in the absence of men. The program celebrates "Ladies of the Light" from coast to coast.

Summer of Love: Woodstock
This program is presented by Jo Ann Tufo, Historian, in a colorful power point, lively lecture and discussion format. “Summer of Love” is a presentation that celebrates the music and message of unity and peace that embodied the 1969 Woodstock festival. Despite bad weather, muddy conditions and a lack of food, water and adequate sanitation, the four-day event was harmonious. This presentation explores the historic event and it’s effect on American culture.​

Strolling the Boards: The History of American Boardwalks
This program is presented by Jo Ann Tufo, Historian, in a colorful power point, lively lecture and discussion format. It celebrates the great American pastime of summer fun on the top seaside boardwalks in the United States. “Strolling the Boards” goes coast to coast, from California to New York and includes Venice Beach to Atlantic City. Highlighted are traditional amusement parks and the whimsical attractions that make summertime boardwalk fun unique to America. This presentation will take participants down memory lane as well as discovering current oceanside destinations.
